“Lift Kids’ Hope” is the prevailing motto of The Get A Board Foundation, an Orlando based non-profit organization whose mission is to positively influence at-risk youth through extreme sports, art and education. Since 2005, the organization has provided roundtrip transportation, water safety, surf lessons and lunch, free of charge, for over 700 of central Florida’s under privileged and at-risk youth.
The Get A Board Foundation does this through its primary program, the Beach Bus. The Beach Bus program provides a fun-filled, lifeguard-chaperoned day at the beach teaching central Florida’s at-risk youth, who are able to swim, about the ocean, proper water safety, and how to surf.
In efforts to raise awareness and charitable funds, the organization is hosting their first annual Lift Kids’ Hope! Charity Golf Scramble. All proceeds will benefit the organizations Beach Bus Program, assisting in transportation needs to help the organization reach more kids, on a more regular basis.
